I’m so excited. My fellow quilters and myself are getting ready for the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show in Hampton that begins on Wednesday. We are packing and cooking and planning for a good time. Those of us that are lucky have rooms at the Embassy Suites which is adjacent to the Hampton Conference Center where the show is held. We take over the joint! We check in Wednesday afternoon and don’t go home until Sunday after the show! It’s a mini vacation that revolves around quilting, classes, food and fun!
I am working at the Quilters Dream Batting Booth. They will not be selling batting but they will have 200 quilts for sale at their booth. These quilts have been donated as part of the Hopes & Dreams Quilt Challenge for ALS. 100 per cent of the funds from the sale of these quilts goes to ALS Research.
On another note, below is a picture of name tags I made for a customer. She purchased Christmas Stockings that I was unable to hoop. So I embroidered name tags with a button hole so they could be attached to the stockings easily!
