Hi Jackie – I am from Nampa ID and have sewn quilts since 1988 – I have NO clue how many. Love making quilts for charity and Quilts of Valor. I do all sorts of quilting, don’t much like applique, but LOVE stars of all shapes! I just bought the Star ruler from Deb Tucker but have not used it yet. Soon! Will enjoy reading your blog and look forward to what you have to teach! Thank you!!

Nice to meet you Alene, welcom. What star tool did you get? The Hunter Star or the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star?

As I mentioned in another reply, your OBW videos were mentioned and linked on the Quilt Board, an online group. Maybe that is why your blog has been blowing up? They are such great and easy to watch videos. I am from north central NC so kind of your neighbor, I think. Keep up the good work. Love the blog!!!

Yea, do, I have 3 seniors Mom, Dad, and mother -in-law, Then 4 grad- children, just their appointments keep me busy. I do love them.
Quilting and crafts keep me level, nothing like sewing and listening to
American family radio.

OMG! Mi lived in Anchorage from 1977 to 1980. It was an experience. Alaska was a wonderful experience, but it was difficult to be away from family. My husband and I were there on an adventure (we were young). You can absolutely make a OBW. Just let me know if you have any questions. OBW are so much fun and so creative, I hope you have fun.

Hi I’m from the foothills of North Carolina. Love your OBW tutorial–probably the best I’ve seen. I love that look but have always been afraid of it. Now, thanks to you, I don’t feel so fearful. I love quilting, have been at it about 5 years. I’m afraid that I’m trying to learn too many different things at once!!!! 😦

Thank you so much. I have been quilting for 10 years this February. I live all things quilting. I think the only way to find out you own path and what you live is to try it all! If ever I can offer any advice please do not hesitate. Today I was working on yet another OBW. This one will be named “Frankly My Dear…….” Can you guess what it is about? I am a compulsive finisher, and usually complete at least 98% of my quilts. Sometimes I wear myself out!

Hi, I am from Oregon. I am relatively new quilter, started in Feb this year working with my church making lap quilts for the very ill. I have learned so much and love it, in fact my furniture doesn’t get dusted as often as it used to, but who cares. I just finished my first quilt for myself, it is at the LAQ now, can’t wait to get it home and the binding done.
I am glad I found your blog, I look forward to learning from you. Thanks.

Congratulations. Quilting gives me such a feeling of accomplishment. I live to create and there is something about making a quilt that is pure joy, especially if you share that joy with others.
