I cannot figure out how much fabric to purchase for a twin size shaded four patch. I want to do the last one on the technique sheet in a 6″ block, 6 1/2 cut block size. Since it doesn’t say what sizes the extra rectangles are or the center block it’s seems impossible. If there was an easy fabric guide that would be great. Is there one available or is guessing the name of the game?

Jackie, I have not made the design that you refer to. But I have made 12 – 6″ finished Shaded Nine Patches. If you email me I can send my supply list. For 12 – 6″ blocks: Position 1 – One 2 3/4″ WOF strip. Position 2 – One 2 1/2″ WOF strip. Position 3 – One 3 3/4″ WOF strip. Position 4 – One 2 3/4″ WOF strip (Position 4 is used twice, you can use the same fabric or choose a different on). Position 5 – One WOF strip. (if using fat quarters cut 2 strips instead of one) For the Rectangles cut 2 – 7″ WOF strips.

If you decide what the finished measurement will be, subtract for whatever size border you will use/ then you can figure out how many blocks you will need. The fabric amounts I gave you will make 12 blocks. I hope this helps.

Yes, but not right away. I’m in the process of getting ready to move. But I will definitely put it on the list. But you know ere is a technique Sheet for it available on Studi180design.net.
