        Hi Jackie,
I am signed up for your class on OBW at the Triangle Quilt Guild in May. I am selecting my panel fabric now. I understand that 7 are recommended with 24” panels, but how big is the resulting quilt? Also, if the panel is 36” or 45” wide instead of 24”, how many are needed? Can you tell me what size quilt I would end up with using say…..6 panels from each o these?
I appreciate your feedback and look forward to the class.

You are a fantastic teacher. I attended your OBW class in Virginia Beach. Used the peacock fabric in the black and gold color way with unique borders. Let me know if you remember it. Or me. I’ve been wanting to attend more of your classes and I will as soon as my health is better. Love your skills!

I came across your utube tutorials for OBW quilts a few weeks back and they inspired me so much that I had to have a go at making one for myself. This has been the first quilt I have ever attempted and I finished it this morning so I just wanted to thank you for your awesome tutorials.

You have doxies AND you make beautiful OBW quilts! You must be a great woman! 🙂 I commented on another post under your hexagon gallery page, then came to this page and saw your doxies! I had a mini long hair for 13 years, but lost her in May 2013. Hug your babies for me! 🙂

I’m sorry for your loss. I am a Doxie fan, I just love them. My sister has one also, her name is Zoey and she is 1 year old. My girls are 7. They are so short they can’t get on the furniture without ramps, so there are ramps all over my house. Zoey runs and jumps like a. Circus dog. If you email me at sewjackie@live.com tomorrow I will send you the class notes.

I just saw where that CT Publishing had you take down the tutorials. I sent an email to the publisher telling them how disappointed I am. I only bought the book after seeing your tutorials. They were so helpful. My friend and I plan to start our OBWs this Friday. We were counting on your tutorials and are so disappointed!

I can’t believe you had to take down your tutorials!!!! Thank God I was able to view them before you did! They were the best!

Your quilts are STUNNING! Where do you find fabric with such large scale prints? Excellent tutorials, very, very inspiring!

Thank you so much. Once you make a OBW you never look at fabric the same way again. I am always on the lookout. For the most part I can even tell online when it is a large enough print. Alexander Henry has great OBW fabric. I find a lot on eQuilter.com, hancocks-Paducah.com, fabric.com

Jackie, I am one of those new people who discovered this page. I found you on Youtube first, checking out your OBW page! Holy smokes, you are amazing. I really like how you have “broken” some of the OBW rules to great effect! I admire the dickens out of you, and love the OBW tutorial. You are so down to earth! Hope I get to meet you one day! Sincerely, Mary

Jackie – CONGRATS upon your most successful completion of the Deb Tucker school for quilting ninja’s. Does this mean you will add more pockets to your ninja vest? When I read about the certification program from Deb Tucker’s site, I immediately thought of you – it was destiny that you would attend. So far, I have managed (aka used) just three of her rulers….looks like more classes with you are in my future to use the rest! Again, nicely done Jackie and as we say in the military “BZ” (bravo zulu).

    Cheers! Liz
