OBW Workshop: Identify & cut the repeats. Aligning the Repeats. Choosing the best strip width & cutting the strips, cutting the triangles. Including Panels. Designing with the Hexagons, Integrating Stars & Cubes of different sizes, Designing around a panel. This workshop requires standing to hold and align panels, about 3 hours of cutting and getting up down when designing. For intermediate skill level.

Star 60 Series: Using the Star 60 Tool. Hexstravaganza, Checkerboard 60, Framed 60, Striped 60, Capped 60, Quad 60, Chrysanthemum, Tucker Twinkle, Hollow Cube 60, Log Cabin 60. Invisi-Grip: Recommended to help tool from sliding while cutting and Required for Checkerboard 60 & Framed 60 classes.

Star 60 Log Cabin:  ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 2 Stars.  Take your log cabin technique to a new shape. Using your Star 60® tool with oversized strips, you can create these fun and interesting blocks. The blocks can be used to create Star 60 units by adding side triangles. Requires the Star 60 Tool & Star 60 Log Cabin Technique Sheet.

Hollow Cube 60: ($45) – 4 hour class. Difficulty 3 Stars. Add the illusion that light is shining on your quilt from the direction you choose by adding Hollow Cube 60’s. These cubes can be made in 16 sizes. You must stay organized, but they are simple to construct. Requires the Star 60 Tool & Hollow Cube 60 Technique Sheet.

Star 60 Hexstravaganza Class:  ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 2 Stars. This class is an introduction into making the Star 60, which can be made in 17 sizes.  As with all the Star 60 Stars they can be incorporated into your OBW’s.  We will be using the free pattern included with the Star 60 instructions, “Hexstravaganza”.  Requires Star 60 Tool.

Checkerboard 60:  ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 5 Stars.  This technique is a bit of a challenge but worth it to add diamonds to our stars.  You can make Checkerboard Stars in 17 sizes.  In class you will be making 6” finished Checkerboard 60 stars to incorporate into your OBW, or a table runner. Requires Star 60 Tool & Checkerboard Technique Sheet.

Double Checkerboard 60 Class: ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 5 Stars.  This 24” block is made from 24 Checkerboard 60 units.  It is essential to stay organized. Requires the Star 60 Tool & Checkerboard 60 Technique Sheet

Framed 60 Class: ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 3 Stars. In this class you will learn to use your Star 60 tool to make a Star 60 with a contrasting frame.  Frame 60 Stars can be made in 16 sizes.  In class you will be making 6” finished Framed 60 stars to incorporate into your OBW.  Requires Star 60 Tool & Framed 60 Technique Sheet.

Capped 60 Class: ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 2 Stars.  Capped 60 units can be made in 17 sizes.  This simple unit carries a big punch.  You have 4 choices of what you want to make in class.  They are all made with the same Capped 60 Unit. Requires the Star 60 Tool and Capped 60 Techniques Sheet

Quad 60 Class: ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 3 Stars.  Quad 60 Stars can be made in 17 sizes.  Each Quad 60 unit is a pieced triangle with 4 triangles exactly the same size.  In class you will be making 6” finished Quad 60 stars to incorporate into your OBW.  Requires the Star 60 Tool and Quad 60 Technique Sheet

Striped 60 Class: ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 5 Stars.  Time to add some Spin to your Star 60 units.  Striped 60 units can be made in 13 sizes.  In class you will be making 6” finished Striped 60 stars to incorporate into your OBW.  Requires the Star 60 Tool and Striped 60 Techniques Sheet

The Big Mum:  ($45) – 4 hour class.  Difficulty 2 Stars.  This class is also a great introduction to the Star 60 process.  This 18” block can look entirely different depending on your fabric choices.  Chrysanthemum is made of two sets of 12 Star 60 units, Companion Triangles & Precision Triangles. Requires Star 60 Tool.

Tucker Twinkle:  ($45) 4 Hour class.  Difficulty 4 Stars.  Learn 3 Star 60 techniques in one class.  This 18: finished block is a combination of 3 Framed 60 units, 3 Checkerboard 60 units, 6 Star 60 units and 12 Half Hexagons. Requires the Star 60 Tool, Framed 60 Technique sheet and Checkerboard 60 Technique Sheet
