The fabrics shown in this post were given to me by Island Batik.
Next week, January 7th begins Island Batik’s “Get Away Blog Hop” I’m all ready for my reveal. My secret bundle for this blog hop is Deb Tucker’s Twilight Chic by Island Batik which was introduced at this past fall market.
I participated in Studio 180 Design’s blog hop in November in which I made this version of “Evening Elegance” from the Twilight Chic line.
With fabric I had left I wanted to make a quilt to showcase the seven technique sheets created to expand what you can do with the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool.
The Banded Lemoyne Star can be made in 9 sizes from 4″ to 12″.
The Blazing Lemoyne Star can be made in 10 sizes from 6″ yo 24″ blocks.
Lemoynes as Triangles can be created and used in many ways.
Fussy Cut Lemoynes offers many ways to create unique Lemoyne stars. I chose to sew strips together to create two sided Lemoyne points.
Liberty Lemoynes can be made in 7 sizes from 6″ to 12″ blocks.
Starburst Lemoynes can be made in 10 sizes from 3″ to 12″ blocks.
Strip Pieced Lemoynes can be made in 8 sizes from 5″ to 12″ blocks.
I love all these blocks and encourage you to play with your fabric scraps!
I can’t decide which one I like best but I would like to try the Lemoynes as triangles. It looks like a flower pot with flowers popping out of it to me.
